The parents agreed and said yes just because they saw the fire of love in Rohit‘s eyes but they never looked with the eyes of justice to Sarah. They still thought of her as a lower middle-class girl who is marrying Rohit just because of money. It was love but the class difference raised by the society we live in didn’t let them decide. The marriage life started off nice and as she started her best to make amendments in her behaviour and her way of living, but due to upscale society, it was difficult for Sarah to get adjusted in the new house. It was soul-crushing for her as she saw herself getting humiliated multiple times by Rohit’s friends and relatives. Everything she tried, it always went in vain but the truth was that her in-laws couldn’t take the thing that a watchman’s girl is their daughter in law. It was a social stigma for them. This resulted in many fights between Sarah and Rohit because no matter how much they tried, nothing worked. Their marriage went into a depressing black hole which gave nothing good but resulted in their separation.
