The turtle that fell off the stick

The turtle that fell off the stick

Once upon a time, there was a boy named Sujoy. He was a chatterbox always wanted to be the centre of attention. He always wanted validation from the people around him. He wanted to have the spotlight in every story. He was very vain and boastful about himself. His friends, teachers, parents and grandparents were tired of correcting him. His habit annoyed many people because as he didn’t even know about the subject he used to talk about; he would just want to say anything about it. His mother always warned him that his talkativeness would get him into trouble, but he never paid attention to her. He loved basking in the sunlight of attention.

His school was going as usual. He was walking through the corridors when he saw two girls studying sincerely. That’s when he realised that his exams were going to begin in a few days. He was stressed out now. He had to be the centre of attention again by scoring the highest marks in the class in every subject. He had made up his mind to do something, but he realised that now it was too late to start studying. He knew he would fail the exam if he didn’t do anything soon. So, he consulted his friends Raghu and Rajan. They used to study in the same school as Sujoy. He said, “Can you both help me out? I need to score the highest marks in the class, by hook or by crook.”

They scratched their heads. “Alright. I guess we can come up with a plan.”

Within an hour, they devised a wicked plan. Raghu and Rajan knew that the Principal of the school received a copy of the exam question paper of each class by email. So they suggested Sujoy that they would hack into his email account to get the papers. They contacted a friend who was a hacker and obtained the password. They accessed the email and found all the papers there. They were overjoyed. “Hurrah! We did it! Sujoy, take these papers and study the questions thoroughly. You will score the highest in the class.”

Sujoy thanked them and returned home. He studied all the questions given in and out. He confidently went into the examination hall on the first day. Everyone was surprised that he was not at all nervous or scared before the test.

After the first exam got over, Sujoy was overjoyed to see all the same questions which he got from the email.

Other students were discussing the next paper which was maths. Sujoy just overheard them.
