Raj listened to his parent’s advice very carefully and realized that from the past four years, he didn’t study at all. He somehow managed to score just passing marks in all of his exams but never received good marks like he used to score when he was in school. Raj broke friendship with his friends and started avoiding them. He tried to focus on his studies, but by then concentrating on studies by avoiding other temptations became a herculean task for him. He eventually started losing interest in his studies and used to daydream every time about how he and his friends used to bunk classes and attended parties all the time. He became tired of the rigour medicine demanded.
After a few days when the final results came, he failed in his exams. Raj realized that he was not interested in studies anymore. Raj’s parents were perplexed and couldn’t understand what lead to his failure. Raj came up to them in tears and narrated them his side of the story. His parents realized what happened to their son and how this whole thing was leading him towards depression. They held Raj in their arms and consoled him. His parents consoled him by saying that they were with him in every situation, and they would help him to balance his studies and fun together.
